In the pursuit of ultimate precision, every micron-level breakthrough is forged through relentless refinement of craftsmanship. To stimulate innovation within our technical team and strengthen the company’s core manufacturing capabilities, Boxin recently held its First Aspherical Precision Machining Technology Competition at the Precision Manufacturing Center. More than a skill-based contest, this was a rigorous showcase of craftsmanship and a comprehensive demonstration of Boxin’s expertise in aspherical optics processing.
A Showdown of Excellence, Crafting Perfection
The competition centered on the core processes of aspherical optical components: milling, grinding, and polishing. On the competition floor, operators worked with intense focus at the control terminals, turning code and commands into precise machine movements. Each contestant strove not only for speed but also for exceptional performance across critical metrics, including surface figure accuracy (PV/RMS), surface roughness (Sa), and edge profile consistency. The event embodied true professionalism and a profound commitment to continuous improvement.

Passing on Craftsmanship, Building for the Future
Following intense competition and rigorous, impartial measurement and evaluation by the judging panel, a group of highly skilled Boxin Craftsmen emerged victorious. Their flawless finished components demonstrated exceptional technical proficiency and reflected Boxin’s deep expertise in precision optical manufacturing.
“The purpose of this technology competition is to foster a positive internal culture of competition, learning, collaboration, and progress,” said the event organizer. “Aspherical machining capability is one of our core technical strengths. By using competition as a form of training, we not only sharpen the technical capabilities of our existing team but also build a strong talent foundation for the company’s future technological inheritance and innovation.”
