Last year, the company acquired a new Optorun optical coating machine from Japan, expanding our coating capabilities and enabling superior film performance specifications.
Optorun is a world-renowned brand in optical coating equipment, particularly in the high-end market, acclaimed for its high precision, exceptional stability, and excellent process performance. Its core strengths lie in ultra-high stability and repeatability, outstanding thin-film quality, and top-tier automation and process control.

When compared with other leading manufacturers such as Leybold (Germany) and Veeco (USA), Optorun’s competitive advantages can be summarized as follows:
- Versus economy-grade brands:
- Optorun delivers overwhelming superiority in precision, stability, and final coating performance, albeit with higher equipment and operating costs. It is engineered for maximum value rather than minimum price.
- Versus other high-end brands:
- Optorun offers distinct advantages in ion source technology, fully automated control, and process maturity for specialized applications including ultra-multi-layer telecom filters and low-loss laser optics, supported by an excellent global reputation.

With this new machine, the company now operates 11 coating systems in total. We provide a full range of coating services, including:anti-reflective (AR) coatings, metallic coatings, beam-splitter coatings, filter coatings, high-reflective coatings, dielectric coatings, hydrophobic (waterproof) coatings, and DLC coatings.Five spectrometers are deployed to characterize coating performance:Agilent Cary 7000 (most widely used): measures coatings across the 185 nm – 20 μm spectral range.Additional instruments include the Hitachi U-4100, PerkinElmer Lambda 950, SPECORD 210+, and BRUKER ALPHA II, selected based on specific thin-film design requirements. We also operate a dedicated laser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) tester for evaluating laser damage resistance.
