To respond to the company’s call for continuous technical improvement, further stimulate employees’ intrinsic motivation to excel in their work and refine professional skills, and foster a vibrant atmosphere of striving, learning, catching up, assisting and surpassing, Bosin’s Q4 2026 Processing Skills Competition has successfully concluded in the Edge Grinding & Centering Team. Competitors showcased their expertise, exchanged technical insights, and passed down craftsmanship through the contest, bringing a solid and successful close to the company’s Q4 skills development initiative.

The competition centered on the core process of edge grinding and centering, focusing on evaluating participants’ ability to control part centering error, diameter accuracy, surface finish, and edge chipping prevention. It served as a comprehensive practical assessment of frontline employees’ operational capabilities, while also providing important performance references for the company’s technical title evaluation, year-end outstanding employee selection, and related award reviews, truly realizing the goal of “testing skills through competition and selecting talents through competition”.
The venue was intense yet orderly. To ensure fairness, impartiality, and transparency, the Technical Department made thorough preparations in advance. SHL customer bonded lenses were designated as processing parts, and all contestants competed using the same edging machine, with processing orders determined by on-site drawing to eliminate external interference. To further ensure rigor, after each contestant finished processing, the edging machine adapter was removed and original equipment parameters reset. Each subsequent participant was required to independently complete adapter adjustment, parameter setting, and part processing in full, comprehensively testing on-site adaptability, troubleshooting capabilities, and solid operational proficiency.

At the workstations, contestants remained focused and composed, performing with skilled, precise, and standardized movements. From accurate part positioning and equipment calibration to the execution of each processing step, every detail was handled with meticulous care. Participants closely monitored part surfaces to avoid scratches, fine-tuned equipment repeatedly to control centering error within 1 arc-minute, and measured precisely with digital micrometers to achieve a diameter accuracy of ±0.01 mm, while strictly preventing edge chipping. Through professional operation and rigorous attitude, they vividly demonstrated Bosin’s spirit of craftsmanship — pursuing excellence and continuous improvement.

Adhering to the principles of fairness, impartiality, openness, and quantifiable evaluation, the judging panel conducted comprehensive assessments across multiple dimensions, including operational standardization, machining accuracy, and process integrity, with detailed records to ensure authentic and credible results. Colleagues in attendance observed carefully, learned from each other, and exchanged processing techniques, creating an atmosphere of intense competition paired with active mutual learning, fully reflecting Bosin’s spirit of dedication, progress, and unity.
This skills competition not only provided a high-quality platform for frontline employees to exchange skills, showcase talents, and achieve mutual improvement, but also identified a group of skilled technical backbone personnel, further consolidated the company’s technical foundation in core processes, and elevated the overall skill level of the team.
